It was a week when we were faced with the toughest of situation. It’s the 3 rd week and our team lead Norvic would be in Singapore for a family wedding. Aileen, our master props head director and Mike, our afternoon team lead won’t be available as well. It was kindda scary at first because our heads won’t be there. It was like an Impossible Mission. Ain't really the type who make friends because of position. I treasure friendships and just love to shower them with affirmations with what they can be specially with Christ in them. Amazingly when I reviewed my friendships- most of them were agents then. Unknown, simple, haggard because of graveyard shifts. Yet I found gold in them. Most of them are now promoted after a year or so and the most wanted in our account. Some where doubtful in the beginning but I have an eye in recognizing greatness. In time, these people emerged to be the cream of the crop. Kat - is now an ADMIN. We were hang out buddies back when she was still an agent. Til now she has remained a friend. Chuck - he never became my direct report but we became friends back when he was an agent. Now, he is one of the most valued service nesting supes because f his tier3 expertise. Matter of fact, too much that I need to rest because I have been working 16 hrs daily including sundays for more than a month. The management is just too happy to give me one week leave. But then I am praying for a p romotion-anywhere, anyplace God will open doors for me. So far, during my vacation, I am realizing a lot of things: 1. We need rest so we can be more productive. 2. We need to enjoy our work because it is a gift from God. 3. All things changes and we live in every season. 4. To enjoy life, work and the fruit of our labor is actually a gift from God. 5. Marco’s wedding was simple and yet very memorable. Personally, I never attended a civil wedding and this was my first- my brother’s. I actually like it because it was simple, not expensive and we still had a sit down celebration with few close friends at The Room Upstairs in Reposo (the place to be for VCF singles on Saturdays). My mom and my dad were married civilly and although Marco and Jen will have their church wedding in Spain when they go back there, I wanted my own to be in the church or in a garden. It just felt like I was in a teleserye than an actual wedding because of the courtroom setup. It was an unusual crowd as well- David Bonifacio as the sponsor (youngest ninong I have met), Donita Rose as one of the sponsors too and for a minute there was laughter because the judge had to admit she was her fan. I had this conversation with a co-worker about sunrise and sunset. I used to love sunrise because it depicts hope and a promise of a new day. I was opened to the idea of the sunset’s beauty because it is romantic and it means soft lights, orange horizon and very dramatic. Since then, I never looked at sunset the same again. Lately, I am contemplating on Life’s Seasons. It is possible to miss out the purpose of today’s season if you are caught up in your future (next season) and your past (last season). And since nothing is permanent in life but change, seasons are sure to come and go. But God would always be faithful to guide us through every change and we get the purpose for that season from him alone. I see a different season unveiled right now before me.
