A Kimpossible Feat

It was a week when we were faced with the toughest of situation. It’s the 3rd week and our team lead Norvic would be in Singapore for a family wedding. Aileen, our master props head director and Mike, our afternoon team lead won’t be available as well. It was kindda scary at first because our heads won’t be there.

It was like an Impossible Mission. But God showed up because it was all about Him. As long as there are people willing to do his work, he will be there to bless the work of their hands. Everyone rose above the call of duty. Richard became more efficient than ever and so is Cendy who became the overall Administrator together with Vivian. Both alternatively danced and did admin. Vivian even brought the house down with her adlibs when she did the Villainess Shego part for pm services.

As usual, Benj was great Drakken and so are the morning professional actors JC and Franco. Harvard of team 2 portrayed Ron and gave a very lively performance. It was not my first script, since I did CARs the previous month. But the excitement of directing Kimpossible was my first. Juggling the music, the video and the PPT was something else. Most of us helped the entire day and we all had fun!

Singing took a backseat although I did help the backups since I had a microphone at the sound booth. The excitement of seeing every actor portray their role and the kids responding to the message was more than rewarding. It was indeed special because it was Father’s Day and I was inspired by my Father’s memory when he was still alive. He too raised me and my siblings to fear God. He too like Kimpossible’s Dad was my hero.

I was amazed by the 9am technical team or was it 11am? Jeff and the group helped me in the videos for Kim since Jeff was a webmaster. There were some missing components in the file not available on the laptop we were using and Jeff’s ultimate laptop came in handy. Who would have taught God would send him when we were all resolved to just play the music. But no, we had a musicale! Harvard, Louie rapped!

Rhia, we discovered was an all around actress and gamely danced, sing, kicked, acted and even hosted the games. Louie amazed us with his stage presence. It was a treat when Aileen and Mike showed up in the pm services. Jeremy preached his heart out and we were recruiting him to join the team if not for Ptr. Paolo’s directive for him to help out in all teams.

By 5pm, everything was flawless. We all had a blast and realized that interruptions to our normal routine is God’s way of showing us that he has not left us but He wants to move in the situation.

I’d say with God, nothing is Kimpossible!
