" You are already important"

You are already important You have nothing to prove to anyone. You are the offspring of a remarkable Creator. Your gifts and talents have been placed within you. Find what they are and CELEBRATE THEM. Find ways to use those gifts to improve others and help them achieve their dreams and goals. But never, never, exhaust and waste your energies trying to prove something to somebody else. You need only to have an honest effort to please God. Your worth is not found in what others think of you. It is found in how God looks at you" - Mike Murdock "Leadership Secrets of Jesus" Recently I'm finding myself always spending time with a group of people. My Favorite Saturday Kabarkada

Well I never really thought I'd grow to love these folks in a short span of time. They are not the usual type of folks anyone can have because they're extraordinary. I guess more than anyone in terms of affiliation, I'm the least likely to belong in the group because all of them have common work, small groups or ministry that's why they are together most of the time. Yet every saturday since I was introduced with Mayette, Line, Mike and Lorraine, I'm finding myself in the same small group each time after service. We'd go to dinner at Metrowalk for the most part, either coffee at Gloria Jeans 'til midnight or videoke at Maru's. Sometimes I woud manage to bring the music team with me and it was a blast at Maru's. Then the circle started getting bigger as I would meet Jay, Sam (girl), Sam (boy), Chris, JC, Erwin and of course always with me is Poupe. What is special about them is their willingness to listen as a group. Yeah! You are right! it's the

Tagaytay Highlands

It was a truly a retreat away from Manila when Line, Mike, Chris, Sam, Jay and I decided to spend overnight in Tagaytay October 31 to November 1. We planned to have a break from our stressful jobs but God has planned something even better. It was when Tita Cherry from KC actually toured us into Tagaytay highlands. She was joined with JC. It was a sure treat, even better than the last outing I have been when Derek treated us to Caliraya Lake for free! Although we paid for our outing this time, being at Tagaytay Highlands is simply priceless. The only idle time we had practically was the time we were waiting for each other at the beginning of the day. As we travelled, look for a place, ate mushroom burger, Calaruega and Tagaytay highlands sight seeing, it was non-stop adventure! My favorite part in Tagaytay highlands is when we went to the sports center and tried the velcro wall and jumped up and down the trampoline and stuck ourselves to the velcro wall. I looked like a clown with our

The Advantages of Companionship

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Yeah, I wont be laboring on the thought of marriage as most would think would be the main subject of this blog because of my tittle. I want to talk about one of the blossoming friendships that God has brought my way and this is what I call my Sunday best buddies. Not because we are only friends on Sundays which is after church services but because we spend time after church sunday services at the Fort. At first, we have nothing in common in terms of interest or personality. One is shy and would only speak if you give her the chance to, the other one would talk non-stop. But as if divine intervention
