The Word says that if we confess our sins to each other and pray for each other then we would be healed. The power of confession not just brings to light what is hidden but it also brings into proper perspective what you think is the truth when the word of God is illuminated. It is like everything else grows dim when God's word says it all. Confession also helps you acknowledge that ALL YOU NEED IS GOD and you are at his mercy.

Since we are prone to stray and we have valid longings, we tend to just put our guards down without contemplating on what could be. So we learn to accept things because in the world we live in, there are no standards. As long as it makes you happy then people would advise that do what your heart says and dictates.

Well, well, well, when you love the people and loving the world, in a way you tend to smell like the world. When you love the sheep then you smell like them. But there is a fine line between God's standards and the world's. God's ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and his ways are definitely higher than our ways.

Sometimes it makes no sense why what you feel cannot be continued. Not only do we follow ethics but if we obey God, there are far greater things we are not seeing that God wants us to be protected from.

Like any normal single person, we are prone to longing and wanting but it doesn't mean that we allow ourselves to be swayed as vulnerable we may be due to the world around us. That is why God's word is the offensive weapon from any of the enemy's tricks because we are able to judge sharper and way better when we aligned to same channel.

If you don't establish yourself on his word then a simple love song can convince you, a sign in the clouds can mislead you, a simple gesture can sweep you off your feet. But with God's word, you realize that it is all just a pose. You realize that it is actually a wolf in sheep's clothing. If you know the word of God then you can take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.

Fasting is so great in removing deceptions and distractions. Sometimes, the stronghold is so strong you become emotionally attached you think you are right. You nurture the feeling and justify your views. You don't want to let it go until the monster feeling gets bigger it eats you up and remove God's peace. But part of Lordship is giving up things that are not really his will for us. They are not necessarily sins but it can come between you and God.

If you are willing and obedient then you will enter his promise land and eat its fruit. I am so glad I have a Father who disciplines those he loves and delights in. A Father who will take care of my every need.

I am careful now of love songs, careful of signs, careful of gestures. Only one thing is valid and reliable- what God has to say in his love letter to me.
