Let it go!!!!!!!!!!!
I never get sick because Im physically strong, but with my job, working 12 hrs daily during graveyard shifts, my body gave in today. You know how it feels when you have a lot of people bossing you around and they don't care if you can still take it because i look fine on the outside but inside, it's like, "how do i fit that in on my drowning schedule and deliverables?". I guess in life, you got to be a fighter, a calm fighter. Im learning to trust God to carry me through a storm now.
As I write now, I am not unravelling stuff but actually can see clearly why some things happen the way they are, let me put it in the words of T.D. Jakes:
"There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you
this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk. I don't want you
to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling
you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean
hang up the phone.
When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never
tied to anybody that left. The bible said that, they came out from us
that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been
of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]
People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not

I really believe that how people value you determines those who are assigned to you. I don't know about you but I love sowing in the lives of people. I used to hang out with people of my own crowd. Well like most of us do, they should think like me, talk like me, walk like me, dress like me, went to the same school, my same club, something in common at least that we could share. Well, I have flushed that philosophy down the drain a long time ago. I hold one principle now, I sow and invest time and love to anyone that God sends my way because I believe that it is God who brought them to me at that particular time and i filter them through Mike Murdock's Law of recognition: "All that you need is already inside of you waiting to be recognized or lies on the people around you. Anything that is unrecognized is uncelebrated, anything that is unrecognized is unappreciated, anything that is unrecognized will gradually exit your life, be it a person, a gift, a talent, an uncommon mentor, lifelong relationships and breakthrough". I mean name it, everything under the sun is a gift from God if you recognize it.
So Let it Go! It doesn't mean that they are bad people but don't put so much effort in raising the dead and wear yourself out if they are not assigned to you. Focus on the destiny God has for you and that is what is in front of you. Don't be so consumed with long term plans that you fail to enjoy the moment. It's not worth throwing pearls to pigs or sow seeds outside your backyard. I just sacrificed my Isaac a day before my birthday and that was the start of the great revelation. When you decide to let it go, that is when God steps in and explains to you why you need to let go because now you can think clearly. So I did offer my sacred cow, and the next day I found my answers.
If you're hanging on to hurts and pains of the past, LET IT GO!
If you're hanging on to toxic relationships, LET IT GO!
If you're wasting your time to something you are not assigned, LET IT GO!
If you're sidetracked by an urgent activity but is not aligned with your destiny, LET IT GO!
If your schedule is so full you don't have time to pursue your dreams, back track the ones you really need and the rest, LET IT GO!
If there are people who refuse to let you in their lives instead disrespect your presence in their lives, LET THEM GO!
I know it is excess baggage when the person wears me out and I see no change in the person or that person doesn't recognize that I'm a gift to their life. It is excess baggage when they hinder you from being who you are, if they diminish your worth instead of adding up your value. But sometimes you will filter the wheat from the weeds when you let both of them grow. In the midst of a heated situation, you need to be able to harvest the wheat and leave the weeds and that takes time and requires you being there. Immerse yourself in the group and you'll see who your real friends are and leave the ones that are not assigned to you.
I was saying these to my leadership group, filter your relationships, whether you are mentoring them, considering them as your circle of friends, training people, plunging into a business opportunity. You need to be able to discern if it is worth your time, are they listening? Do they value you? Can you sustain the relationship? For how long? Are they assigned to you? I know that a person or a group of people is assigned to me, first and foremost, if they listen what I have to say. They don't need to agree but they value my presence. They invest time or make time to text, appreciate small things about me or what I've done for them, they want to spend more time and enjoy what I enjoy.
They are assigned to you If you have a burden to them and they open up when you begin to open yourself to them too. When you fill in the need and they appreciate you and they see you as part of their own group, regardless of the length of time you are with them.
