Tagaytay Highlands

It was a truly a retreat away from Manila when Line, Mike, Chris, Sam, Jay and I decided to spend overnight in Tagaytay October 31 to November 1. We planned to have a break from our stressful jobs but God has planned something even better. It was when Tita Cherry from KC actually toured us into Tagaytay highlands. She was joined with JC. It was a sure treat, even better than the last outing I have been when Derek treated us to Caliraya Lake for free! Although we paid for our outing this time, being at Tagaytay Highlands is simply priceless. The only idle time we had practically was the time we were waiting for each other at the beginning of the day. As we travelled, look for a place, ate mushroom burger, Calaruega and Tagaytay highlands sight seeing, it was non-stop adventure! My favorite part in Tagaytay highlands is when we went to the sports center and tried the velcro wall and jumped up and down the trampoline and stuck ourselves to the velcro wall. I looked like a clown with our baggy suits (me, sam and line). Of course the rest of the gang were enticed and they all joined us when we went to the modified tug o' war. Men! We all sweat like crazy and we had no energy for bowling or badminton.

We went for a walk outside and saw this ala sound of music hills with thick pine trees. Of course we took pictures from trees, to rocks to springs until line's camera went low bat. Good thing sam's digicam is still working. We passed by the zoo and saw Chino the gorilla and some wild boars. We finally gave up and sought for the shuttle bus to have dinner and headed the top of the tower for cable ride. We had shabu-shabu at the tower and it was the most exhilirating experience when we reached the top which is covered with fog. we can't see a thing outside and all of us were chilling until the waiters decided to close the sliding doors. Good thing the food renewed our strength and we had too much leftover.

We were only able to check in our baggage around 9 pm. We dresed up again and went to Starbucks overlooking the lake, lingered and talked until almost midnight.

We found a neat place near the lake and we have our own living room, although the quarters were almost shared it was fun being with my friends. We knock off the lights by past midnight.

We all finally woke up around 7 pm and had breakfast after each one took our turns in the single comfort room. Some decided to just read the Word, while some just enjoyed the morning with the rest. After eating sandwhiches we played cards and had fun laughing with each other with the timeless bluff game. We decided it was time to pack and have breakfast outside so we proceeded near the Taal lake.

What a spectacular sight! We had pizza and chicken at Carlos' overlooking the lake. By this time we are all kinda sleepy. After a long lunch our ride arrived by 2 pm and we decided to travel back.

I can't wait to see the pictures and remember all the good times of fun, laughter and memories. I can't wait to go to the beach this summer since we are planning that on our way back to Manila.

What a treat!
