An Encouragement E-Mail
I have never felt in my 13 years of walk with God this much shaking. I can relate very well now with David when he said his feet had almost slipped. I felt like my life is ebbing away. Of course it's all but a lie and I'm slowly getting tired of life's worldly cares, the toxic work I have and a lot of relationship disappointments. Everyone who knows me knows that the more I'm challenged, the more I fight and stand my ground but all of a sudden I'm willing to take the back seat and just walk away from all of them. One part of me says that's is good because I need to choose which battle to fight. But then I know it's an excuse for me to really be sluggish and not act. I know deep inside that I need to go through a battle to fight and win it.
Am not talking about physical fist fighting but spiritual. Maybe this is also a chance for me to reach a higher level of maturity for after all I need to persevere when troubles come so I can be mature (james 1:3). Or I maybe careful what i ask for because I remember well I asked for a different level of maturity and here am I being shaken in all aspect.
And yet like Elijah, I am tired. After being chased by Jezebel trying so hard to kill him, Elijah was discouraged and just wanted to sleep. I mean God has to kick him in the butt so he would face life again. I feel likewise. If I can only hide and run and just sleep, I would do it. I am tired but I have no choice but to live by faith and not by sight. Like the fish who has no choice but to live and thrive in water, I am born to live again specially as a child of God. I mean where else can I go but to God.
Well I got this very encouraging letter from a friend and I wanna keep it so I can read it and keep me reminded all the time
Dear Friend,
These are great days we are living in, but there are moments where we wish
life was a little easier. Life is not always easy but be encouraged and
take comfort in the fact that God is with us and He will see us through
every problem or situation that has us worried. If you are going through
some problems and feel as if God has forgotten you and not answering your
prayers then the following scripture is for you. Psalm 27:14 declares
"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine
heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." We sometimes want the answer to come
the second we finish praying, but God sees the big picture and will use
every problem to make us stronger and in turn more faithful to know that
God is an on time God. God knows what we need even before we ask Him so
be encouraged and know that He will meet your every need according to His
riches and glory. (Matthew 6:8)
This is a great short story that encouraged me to always be content in
life because there is always someone carrying a heavier burden than I am.
Read this message and think of the people that are not as fortunate as you are.
THE CROSS
The young man was at the end of his rope. Seeing no way out, he dropped to
his knees in prayer. "Lord, I can't go on," he said. "I have too heavy a
cross to bear."
The Lord replied, "My son, if you can't bear its weight, just place your
cross inside this room. Then, open that other door and pick out any cross
you wish."
The man was filled with relief. "Thank you, Lord," he sighed, and he did
as he was told.
Upon entering the other door, he saw many crosses; some so large the tops
were not visible. Then, he spotted a tiny cross leaning against a far
wall. "I'd like that one, Lord," he whispered.
The Lord replied, "My son, that is the cross you just brought in."

When life's problems seem overwhelming, it helps to look around and see
what other people are coping with. You may consider yourself far more
fortunate than you imagined.
When I was a child, my uncle taught me to never look at the people that
are living better than I am but to look at those that are less fortunate
than I. If I am always looking at the person who has a better home, job
or lifestyle, then I will never be satisfied with where I am in life. But
if I think about the person who has no home and does not know where their
next meal is coming from, then I will be thankful for all that I have.
Be encouraged and know that you are blessed. If you have air in your
lungs and did not see your name in the obituary this morning, then rejoice
in the Lord and be exceedingly glad. Let the Joy of the Lord be your
strength and with all of your being sing praises unto Him.
Repeat these words after me:
God is on my side so whom shall I fear. I will not worry about anything
because God has promised to make me the head and not the tail. By the
Authority of God's Word I will have every need met according to God's
promise. I walk by faith and not by sight, so every obstacle will be
removed in Christ's Holy Name. Amen.
(Psalm 118:6) (Deuteronomy 28:13) (2 Corinthians 5:7)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Luke 12:30-31 "For all these things do the nations of the world seek
after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But
rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added
unto you."
1 Thessalonians 5:14-18 "Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are
unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all
men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow
that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice
evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
Psalm 118:24 "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice
and be glad in it."

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain. There will always be sunshine
after the rain. Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall, but God's
always there, waiting for you to call!
