Wise Words from Shinjoe

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Be careful of words, even the miraculous ones. For the miraculous we do our best, sometimes they swarm like insects and leave not a sting but a kiss. They can be as good as fingers. They can be as trusty as the rock you stick your bottom on. But they can be both daisies and bruises. Yet I am in love with words. They are doves falling out of the ceiling. They are six holy oranges sitting in my lap. They are the trees, the legs of summer, and the sun, its passionate face. Yet often they fail me. I have so much I want to say, so many stories, images, proverbs, etc. But the words aren't good enough, the wrong ones kiss me. Sometimes I fly like an eagle but with the wings of a wren. But I try to take care and be gentle to them. Words and eggs must be handled with care. Once broken they are impossible things to repair. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ When day is done I steal away To fold my hands in rest, And of my hours this moment grey I love the best; So quie...

You are all I need

About the same month last year, someone gave me a word about me creating songs. His name was Michael Reyes and his words were sharp and accurate. He said that I will be creating songs that will pierce the hearts of people. What he don't know and all the people in my group doesn't know is that two years ago, I have long since composed songs and I stopped. Either I forget the tune, my inspiration was suprressed or simply due to time constraints because I was too busy. Yet, since then, I still do write poems every now and then. Recently, my desire to create songs became stronger and stronger. Yesterday morning, God has inspired me to finish one and I hope that it continues every week. Hopefully, I'll record this soon: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@ July 18, 2005 You Are All I Need @@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Verse 1: I wake up each day wondrin’ What am I livin’ for And fill up myself with all things To get me going on Refrain 1: But then your Word has opened A way for me instead Chorus 1: And now I’m acc...

GREAT "Words of Wisdom"...

Image
Standing for what you believe in, Regardless of the odds against you, and the pressure that tears at your resistance, means courage Keeping a smile on your face, When inside you feel like dying, For the sake of supporting others, means strength Stopping at nothing, And doing what's in your heart, You know is right, means determination Doing more than is expected, To make another's life a little more bearable, Without uttering a single complaint, means compassion Helping a friend in need, No matter the time or effort, To the best of your ability, means loyalty Giving more than you have, and expecting nothing But nothing in return, means selflessness Holding your head high, And being the best you know you can be When life seems to fall apart at your feet, Facing each difficulty with the confidence That time will bring you better tomorrows, And never giving up, means confidence.

Have you ever wondered why you do what you do? One former Navy pilot tells how he was living a wilderlife than he knew he should live. He decided hisproblem was that he was being led astray by hisfriends in flight training. So he arranged to finish his work in the program early and be transferred to another field nearby. Yet, it wasn't long, he said, before he was back inthe same old bars, with the same girls, just with different friends. One night out-on-the-town hewondered, "Why do I do this?" And he realized, "Because I like to." Before a person becomes a Christian-I mean a realChristian, not just someone who says he is-his"want-to" is broken. He is not interested in God. He is bored by church and by reading his Bible. He cannot"make" himself "want to" do right and he cannot "make" himself "want not" to do wrong. When a person is born again, God repairs his "want-to." Eventhough he still feels the pu...

An excerpt: The Frog and the Prince

source: anonymous "Do you have a boyfriend yet Paula?" I roll my eyes and shake my head just thinking of the many times someone has asked me that question. In our culture today, this is a fairly justifiable question to ask an 18-year-old girl. However, this 18-year-old does not have a standard response. I say, "No, I don't need one." Most girls would say this just after a devastating breakup and they say it bitterly because they don't want to discuss it. Neither is true for me. When I say it it's because at this point in my life I truly don't need one. I don't see the point in having countless boyfriends before finally settling down with "Mr. Right". This system of finding a mate is similar to the concept of going to a pond and kissing a frog hoping that one of them will turn into a prince. I find the concept of dating foolish, and so I am going to practice courtship. Courting simply means that you don't get into a serious relations...

....the man in the garden he is watching, watching closely not from afar he is waiting intently , waiting for His signal he is silently relishing each morsel of moment he savors and adores each passing time because he says to himself...."I want to catch the unguarded occasion, observe her highs and lows, gather her favorite things, and see what she adores". he is preparing, qualifying himself because he knows, "She is no ordinary woman, she is going to be my own". he is anticipating every day that a new surprise awaits, "how can i put a smile in face?, my lovely doe, my graceful deer" ....the woman she is unaware of the man because she is filled with everyday joys she is concious of one thing, someone is watching her but she has no idea who she is knows about the man in the garden because she knows him but not enough to notice him she is focused in her work and she happily tends to her plants and animals that quarts in her garden the story continues about ...
